Meetings & Events

The multi-phase renovation plan includes the addition of 29,000 sq. ft. of meetings facilities and event spaces, to debut alongside new guestrooms, a refreshed culinary program, and general resort upgrades. The crown jewel of the expansion is the Event Center, comprising of a brand-new ballroom, indoor pre-function and breakout rooms, and outdoor entertaining spaces, set to elevate the overall resort experience for corporate and leisure groups.

Vista Walk Event Space

Vista Terrace


This updated outdoor space was unveiled in June 2019. Vista Terrace (formerly Vista Walk) has been transformed into an elevated and leveled event space offering panoramic views of the Pacific and The Del’s iconic turret, and has the ability to house events for up to 900 people. Landscaping improvements highlight the historic Dragon Tree, which dates back to The Del’s early days.

CA Cabanas Meeting Rooms

The Cabanas


The Cabanas meeting rooms received an interior design refresh with new finishes and a chic coastal feel, complementing the upgraded guestrooms in The Cabanas. The new spaces were completed in summer 2020.

Power Plant Meeting Space

Power Plant


Initially built to provide power to the hotel and the island of Coronado, this historic space has been restored and reimagined as a unique co-working and meeting space at The Del. Currently being used for internal offices, the path of travel for guest use will be completed in 2021.

Founders Hall


Founders Hall (formerly Grande Hall) features one of the largest meeting spaces at the resort and is a perfect venue for large banquets, conferences, and exhibits. The upstairs ballroom can be split into three smaller rooms, with the lower level offering multiple breakout options. The space will receive an interior design refresh in 2021, with a planned opening by the end of the year. Upgrades to the accompanying Founders Lawn will be completed in early 2021. New Conference Center


Taking center stage of the renovation is a brand-new Conference Center featuring a 15,000 sq. ft. clear span Ballroom with approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of pre-function and breakout meeting space. The Ballroom can be configured into 10 separate meeting spaces with French doors leading to outdoor balconies, flooding the rooms with natural light. The Center will open up onto the 14,000 sq. ft. Great Lawn, offering a breathtaking backdrop of the historic hotel.
