All guestrooms throughout the resort will be updated during the Master Plan project, including the addition of 142 new guestrooms that will bring the property room count to 898. Each building will be part of a “neighborhood” that speaks to various audiences, needs, and interests. Here you’ll find that Southern California coastal town that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else. It’s a melding of neighborhoods, each one a variation on a dream of what California can be.

The Cabanas is the contemporary SoCal social hub, with a state-of-the-art pool at its center and the Sun Deck as its rooftop bar. Enhancements are being made to the 97 California Cabana guestrooms:
- Interior design features a color palette of ocean blues, sunshine gold, and warm sand
- Luxurious bathrooms with large walk-in showers and designer features
- Ground-floor rooms feature large covered terraces for lounging, and many have fire features

The existing Ocean Towers will transform into The Views, a pre and post-adventure outpost for active guests, located close to the beach and all rentals. The towers will receive a complete renovation inside and out with new glass doors, windows and balcony railings to allow uninterrupted guest views. Ground level rooms will have luxurious outdoor lanais to enhance the guest experience.

142 new accommodations on the south side of the resort will feature an array of ocean, bay, and pool courtyard views, and the flexibility of adjoining suite options, fully-equipped kitchens with premier appliances, and indoor/outdoor gathering spaces. The suites will be developed as whole-ownership, limited-term use condominiums, presenting the final opportunity to own resort real estate at the iconic property.

We proudly celebrate Hotel del Coronado’s 130+ year history and bring back traditions and relics from the past. Along with a full guestroom and common area renovation, the front porch will be restored to its original configuration with a wide veranda featuring two sets of entry stairs. This exclusive, gated beach community offers private check-in, pools, and VIP perks. It’s a private village offering the full VIP treatment. During the final stages of the Master Plan, these luxury accommodations will receive an interior design refresh.
